Adiyaman University

Adiyaman University (ADYU), a state university was founded in 2006. It currently has about17,000 students. Undergraduate and graduate students from many countries attend a semesteror a year-round at ADYU as Exchange Student.

Adiyaman University continues its various activities in the fields of education, research andservice to society in 13 Faculties, 3 Institutes, 3 School, 1 Conservatory, 3 Vocational Schools and 18 Research and Application Centres. Adiyaman University is a participant in theErasmus+ programme, which is funded by the European Commission. This educationalexchange programme offers both students and staff the opportunity to study, work, teach ortrain in another country. Adiyaman University is currently conducting Student Exchange Program activities with many foreign universities.

Adiyaman University participates in Key Action 103 (staff and student mobility in Europe).Officially founded in 2007, Erasmus Coordination Office coordinates ADYU’sinternationalization efforts, strives to enhance the university’s international network and therange of international activities strategically. Since 2007, internationalization has constitutedone of the pivotal axes of ADYU’s institutional development. Our institution sees Erasmus+ as central to its internationalisation strategy.

The main motto of Adiyaman University is to be one of the well-known universities in theEuropean Higher Education Area. To succeed in this goal, we will continuously develop co-operations with European universities in terms of quantity and quality. Adıyaman University’sprograms also aim to produce graduates who will be leaders in their respective professions,innovative and creative individuals through sharings from the mobilities. Adiyamanuniversity; carried out substantial curricular reforms and re-structured all degree programmes, according to the principles of the Bologna process.
